New Career

I've decided to pen down my journey in this new career. A career that previously I've never thought that I would be in and a career neither my friends nor family saw it coming.

The purpose of blogging this down is to allow myself to remember all the good times, the positive side of this career - the energy and adrenaline I felt at the mere thought of being able to help someone reach his/her financial goals.

Slowly but surely, I believe that everyone will understand and be on the same page as me.

SO! Right now I'm going to look out for the people I want to reach out to. :)

Eventful Past Months X Piecing Up the Pieces

Pictures are from my iPhone 4S and contrary to everyone who is raving about the new iPhone5s/c, I love 4S more as the size fits me nicely but anyway there's so much going on in my mind right now, so this shall be stalled at the back of my mind first.

So, I have been .....................................................

TRYING to get InsidersRoom's website up for the past few weeks. Having such minimal IT background (waves to all biz management human resource majors out there!), it's challenging yet refreshing given that it's something (almost) new. Blah. Anyway, new arrivals for October is up!

Love the bags, comes in different designs and it's in good quality as well. Dungarees and little cupcakes are in limited pieces now, thank you girls x :)

Now we backtracked to July for a bit:
Continuation of my previous post, I went overseas again on my birthday with Joanne! Hehe.

+ Elijah got a minion as a birthday gift to do all my work for me hahaha I wish!

So we finally got together! - Having been BFFs with Elijah for the entire of our poly days, I really didn't see it coming. I mean girls, do you have a guy friend whom you text every single day for 3 years but you don't feel that way for him? But unknowingly you started caring much more which of course there's nothing wrong afterall you are best of friends right? Now I got you pondering haven't I? :P

Getting together feels really similar to the Taiwanese drama '我可能不會愛你' (In Time with You), hahaha watch it if you haven't, you will know what I mean :)
-

First sibling double date with Wilson and Xinmin, so much fun!

On one of the stay home weekends, we decided to whip up a meal together! Never in my life have I ever cooked such a sumptuous meal, luckily it taste good hehe

Impromptu dining at Astons with the family~

Japanese friends came over to visit one after another! So much fun being tour guide, too bad that I didn't do well in History during Secondary School, can barely explain anything haha

Following that, relatives from China (God I never knew them before!) came to visit and doing the tour guiding thing again - To Gardens by the Bay

Comedic dad :')

Lunch date at D' Good Cafe at Holland Village after Elijah's field camp, it's very crowded as we went on a weekend so didn't managed to get the swing seat :( We tried sharing 1 week worth of happenings despite the loud noise level of the surrounding and tables that are a tad bit too close. On a brighter side, the drinks is reaaaaally yums and the food was acceptable. If you're a fan of prawn aglio olio like me, the best I've ever tasted is from Coscafe at Chijmes!

& lastly, on our 100th day together, we went to USS! Sadly, both roller coasters are under maintenance. :( Nevertheless, excellent company with good weather and of course express tickets that void all queues - it's so worth it! Last year when I went for the first time, the crazy queue resulted me to wait 1-1.5hr for a less than 5 minutes ride! You know what I'm saying?! Haha

----

The upcoming 1.5 months is gonna be crazy. If you have been following me on Twitter, I mentioned that I have 6 exam papers to clear AND there's gonna be a Nov collection coming up as well. At the same time, hoping to commit to run/exercise 4 times a week. Sometimes I really wish I have 30 hrs a day..

Blessed

Been travelling a lot lately and I really love the feeling when the flight take off; it feels like I'm leaving all my worries behind, even if it's temporary. :)

So here are my trips for this half a year:

Early January in Japan Osaka Castle.
Osaka is currently my favourite city in Japan simply because it's not as busy and hectic as Tokyo where you actually feel the stress and rush of others. Osaka is just enough to match mild city girl me.

This is my roomie,  Sharon!
We took a bus ride up to see Mount Fuji & we're somewhere near one of the five lakes! Thinking back how we almost missed this breathtaking place because of the difficulty in catching highway buses.

In Insadong Korea.
Beautifully traditional place where every shop name is in Hangul (Including international brands like Starbucks!). & Plus point is, it started snowing pretty heavily! Lucky :)

Shortly after I came back from Japan, flew to Sydney with my one of my favourite poly girl, Veronica!
If you are going there, do take the cruise! You'll be able to see Opera House and Harbour Bridge in the right angle and also beautiful houses by the beach.

Then following closely, trip to Georgetown Malaysia (otherwise known as Penang)
Heritage historical place but that wasn't our reason for visiting. Our reason is none other than food! Hehe and of course a getaway for them. :)

In late May, we made an impromptu decision to head over to Desaru Malaysia for a short 3D2N trip which I have already mentioned in my previous post. But nevertheless, it's an awesome trip. The water activities is a MUST TRY. Even if you can't swim (like me), have no worries as there's life jacket provided! Safety always comes first!

Last but not least, I just came back from Taipei last week. If you love food, this has GOT to be your place! Long stretches of streets and late night markets are here to satisfy your midnight hunger pangs.

Fishballs that are flavoured and so Q! Had this for 6 DAYS STRAIGHT because it's THAT good!

There's so many of this toy catching standalone shops in Taipei with friendly shop assistant helping you to place the toys in easier positions. Ok, Taiwanese are typically very very friendly and helpful. While I was there, I'm shocked by how similar their metro, streets and cleanliness are to Japan. There's Japanese commercials too. :) & Next! Sceneries from 九份 and 十份!

Besides the food and touristic sceneries, there's also a lot of interesting cafes such as the modern toilet cafe where all the food are contained in toilet bowls or desserts coming in shit shape. Hahaha!

And Deja Vu cafe which is opened by Jay Chou and Liu Qian (the magician)! Actually we intended to visit the Hello Kitty as well but it was under renovation.

Enough said for the touring. When there's girls, there's always shopping! In Taipei, I have to say, not only are girls all nicely dolled up, boys are too! Cheaper clothes can be found at Wu Fen Pu but I like Shi Da night market better :)

All in all, it's an extremely fun filled trip, and I'm looking forward to our next!
You know it's right when you're with the right people. ^^V

"Put my defences out"

It's coming second week of June and time is flying so fast this year (for me). It's just mundane work since April and paving my path of my future career, weighing between continuing my studies or starting my career. The same amount time, where should I prioritize it? Anyway, this are some recent happenings:

  1. Letters are still the best. Aroy Dee Thai Kitchen. Weinee's 20th birthday dinner.
  2. Masa came to visit. Wenkai's 20th celebration, Champion League finals, Bayern Munich!
  3. Lastly, a getaway to Desaru Malaysia! Special thanks to Joanne, her bf and David who planned everything. Tons of fun in the sun, what a perfect trip! :)
